Editing/Adding Fields to Pages

I would like to add some fields to a few pages, such as Ads and Groups. I would like to be able to put, for example, a cost field in the ads, and who the owner is, and their website etc etc.

What I would like to do is edit the page like you can do when you edit the 'join page' and add fields very straight forward. Then when you goto the page builder the blocks are there for you to add to the page.

Can this be done with the ads and group pages????

Thanks

If you go to the admin panel then go to builders  then pages block   you can select the ads page  and like 4 groups secin to add ew blocks to.    you just need to dr the new it ockup there and edit it to the way you want it.

But the blocks dont appear when you add the ad.

i have to use firefox to edit anything in the page builder section for some reason.  IE will not save changeings most times.  or only half the changes anyway.

If you created the blocks in firefox i am not sure what the deal is.  If you like you can try to add them by hand in the database and see what happens

Same thing, only in firefox work great, other browser dont do half a job. Either dont save, either dont change anything, eyther dont show block at all... Strange? Undecided

Is this possible?

I have tried looking in PHP MyAdmin but can't see nothing which indicates it's possible.??

Not sure that this can be done by mere mortals Simon, it probably requires php/mysql programming.  There is a nice tool called SQLyog that might help you manage your database a bit better.

What I would just love if there was some easier method to link a database to Dolphin - with "field level security" so that different membership levels have access to different information.  If anyone has any thoughts on how I could move in that direction, I would like to hear it.
