Dreamhost setup

I am trying to get Dolphin and Ray set up on Dreamhost.

Have others ever successfullly done this?

Here is my first problem. I ran the php script to test it and here are the results.

http://www.boonex.com/trac/ray/wiki/GenRayTshooter#IgetUploadingfileerrorwhenuploadingaudiovideofilesinRayMediaandVideoPlayers

PHP INI settings

safe mode =
disabled functions =
max execution time = 30
post_max_size = 8M
upload max filesize = 7M

ffmpeg output

Nothing else.

Here is the data from Dreamhost

http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/FFmpeg

They say it is already set up but then why does no data show?

The problem I am trying to fix is - video upload - it uploads fine but then says error.

I hope this thread can fix most problems Dreamhost may have with Dolphin and Ray.

RMS widgets (Chat, IM, Video Recorder)

And information on how to get these aspects working is appreciated.

Regards

Peter

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php
php_value post_max_size 100M
php_value upload_max_filesize 100M
php_value memory_limit 250M

I tried to add the above to the .htacess file but then it came with another error

"Warning! Dolphin cannot work without mbstring extension. Please go to the Dolphin Troubleshooter and solve the problem."

So on Dreamhost I need to find a way to increase the uploading without breaking something else.

Then I need to work on the RMS part of it and I will ask Dreamhost to open ports 10000 and 10080

Should that address my issues?

Hi ! ! !

I don't know nothing about opening the ports, I'm still on it. However, I found how to set up the php.ini file on dreamhost, it's on spanish, but trust me... it worked ! ! ! Laughing

Here's the link ! ! !

Ask your host to compile PHP with mbstring support.

you dont need ports open unless you have installed your own RMS

Hi Sammie...

Well, I didn't realize that, still my ray module is correctly installed and pointig to rms.boonex.com and it's not working... Do you have any idea this may be?

I switch the ports and nothing. Thanks for your answer. (to all of you)
