Dolphin team has told Softaculous not to provide upgrades why

why is this, why can we no longer upgrade via softaclous. i contacted softacious and they said not to provide upgrades.

Manual upgrade is easy... don't be scared.  You need to learn how to do it sooner or later.

Dolphin's a complex script, and I wouldn't trust a third-party script automatically upgrading it, and nor should anyone else. I don't even like that people are using such scripts to do the installation, but that's their choice.

True, it is better and more secure installing any script yourself be it dolphin or whatever. You should not need to rely on an auto-installer. I would not lose any sleep over it.

Ive used Softaculous for clean installs of Dolphin with no probs.

Ive never been aware they offer any upgrading though, just clean installs.
