Dolphin or not Dolphin?!

Hi All,

I'm getting a quote together for a client, and I'm looking at various CMSs which might be suitable for the kind of thing he's after. Dolphin looks pretty good on the face of it, but I'm not 100% sure about a couple of things. The site is for a talent agency/community. It the words of the client:

"It is  going to be a talent agency, so each registered 'Talent' will have their own page where they will be able to upload audio, pictures, and modify their own personal descriptions and individual services they can offer. All of these specifics will be used for the Client to search through these Criteria.

The Clients will be able to register and post jobs on the site for free, and once the job is posted, the specifics of the type of VOA will match the criteria of lots of Talent, at this point an automated e-mail will be sent to the Talent, asking them to audition."

Is this kind of functionality within the bounds of Dolphin? I know that profiles etc are possible, but it's having the different kinds of member (client/artist etc) which I'm not too sure about.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have been using Dolphin for about six months. I can honestly say I am surprised by its potential. Although the original code is a little "dry", it is possible to make many modifications which allow for a more enhanced user experience.

I think what you are trying to accomplish is certainly possible within the realm of the Dolphin script, however I also believe that you are going to need some minor custom modifications.

If you choose the Dolphin Script, I would recommend contacting "Dolphinmods" for script customization, as he has done much work for me and I am always pleased with his results.

What your looking for is called a profile type splitter, you can find it on Expertzzz.com by AntonLV (one of the original Dolphin Coders) and it will do exactly what your looking for.
