 Am I missing something? I am just getting my site up and have created a couple of forums but as a user there appears to be no buttons to post to the forum or to create a new topic as a user. I can click on a folder and it opens and closes, that's it. I wish there was more documentation for Dolphin. Does anyone have a clue how to get the forum feature to function? |
seemed you just created groups. Now in every group you need to create some forums - only after it your users will be able to add topics. |
Groups and group posts are working just fine. Posts from the groups do not end up in the forum. But under the "Forum" tab there is no way to get involved in discussions. Way to post or search that I can see. I can only create folders in Admin. |
hm - seemed you not completely understand me. Ok - will try to be more detailed. after you will open Orca admin area - first of all you will be able to great group for forums. And inside this group you will be able to create as many forums, as you want. You need to push to 'Folder' to create forum in group. P.S. - it is not about Groups section of Dolphin Hope this will help :) |
dont get me wrong, just want to help in my own little way. SEARCH is available in this forum. You will find similar issue like what you have and several answers/solutions are already given here. Do search please. |
Below is a screenshot. You can see I created the groups in the forum as you mentioned in the last post. BUT... there is no button to post to these groups. only "My Topics" "Search" and "Top Posts". But if anyone has a solution as to how I can get a "post button" or "reply" or "New Topic", I would appreciate it. There just seems to be none in the "page builder".

well - for example open http://www.boonex.us/orca/ you will see BoonEx Products - it is like group. Inside this group you will see several forums - as Dolphin talk and only inside this forum user will be able to add post. |

Go into admin/plugins/orca. Then you will see 'manage forums' take it from there. There are none so blind as those that will not see. |
