Dolphin Social Connect is a great module and I realize they have their own client ticket submission services. This forum was created to address and troubleshoot issues with the module to help build on it.
I purchased the Dolphin Social Connect module and Modules2Buy was kind enough to install it on my website.
After installing the Facebook and Twitter API keys I wanted to try out logging in with my same email address I use for both my Dolphin website and LinkedIn. I received the following error message:
"Email is exist. Please try again!
Please enter your email address to sign up:"
This error message made me wonder:
- Why did Dolphin Social Connect not recognize just connect the LinkedIn account to the Dolphin member?
LinkedIn verified the email and password so there is not concern about a user account being hacked.
Dolphin Social Connect should have recognized the current Dolphin website member and have a message similar to:
"Are you USERNAME?"
I would also like to suggest changing the error message to:
"There is an existing account associated with this email. Forgot your password?"
Forgot your password should redirect to the password recovery part of Dolphin.
