Dolphin / Hostforweb RMS .. I need help.

Why is it so difficult to set up dolphin on HostForWeb? I used Dolphin on HFW a couple years ago for a site and needed help setting up then as well. After getting the rms set up and the basic down, I have no problems and I even recommend HFW.

Simple instructions:

To connect to our RMS server please just go to your Ray Base settings and write our RMS hostname in RMS IP field. Then you will be able to run RMS-dependent widgets, such as Video Recorder, Video Chat, Whiteboard or Video Messenger.

Please login to Administrator area > Modules > Flash apps, and put into RMS Address field:

For Dolphin 7.0.4 and above versions: rms704.hfw.us

For Dolphin 7.0.0-7.0.3 versions: rms7.hfw.us

For Dolphin 6.x versions: rms6.hfw.us

EXCEPT.  I can not log into the Dolphin Administration area to do any of this.

Pulling my hair out here and I need this site up by tomorrow.

I have a lot of trouble with RMS on HFW. It's constantly failing causing me to have to restart it at least 3 times a week.

I asked them to watch it or help me figure out why it's failing and their response was they could set up a watch that would notify them when it failed and restart it for me for a fee.

Obviously I'm not going to pay them a fee for something that is most likely their fault. Sane as the permission errors that still exist after a year of complaining.

When I used HFW in the past I did not have any problems with permission errors or restarting or anything. Just getting the RMS initially started up.

I'm still needing help with this. I go to my website /administration and put in my user name and password but it gives me a 404 error. I need to log into this before I can even input the RMS apparently.

 Skyforum, hello :)

As discussed, you are running your own RMS server under your VPS. Sometimes it crash, sometimes it lacks RAM or whatever reason RMS server may have to stop running properly. Our offer as solution was to switch to our shared RMS servers which are running on their own dedicated servers, with enough resources and being monitored. Please feel free to take this advise.

Looks like your problem is not RMS but dolphin itself? Dolphin admin panel should be working fine, otherwise you wont be able to configure RMS and type in HFW's RMS details.

Dolphin support is provided by boonex, please contact boonex support channels. Or you may drop us a ticket, we'll check and provide logs which will help boonex to figure out the problem.

Let me know if HFW's assistance needed in this case.
