Dolphin 7 installation

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to install Dolphin 7 Beta but I'm getting the following messages:

Warning: require_once(../inc/classes/BxDolIO.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/myaccount/public_html/mywebsite.com/install/index.php on line 443

And also:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '../inc/classes/BxDolIO.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/myaccount/public_html/mywebsite.com/install/index.php on line 443

Any Ideas on how to adjust it?

Thank you all

If you have shell access to your account, login to your account and go to your home directory, which I believe is /home/corellas/public_html/kriyamo.com

From there set the file permissions by typing:

chmod 777 * -Rf

This should get your install going.

You will then need to reset the permissions to the specified permissions as stated in the documentation.

If I remember correctly when you are checking the permissions during the install it will give you a link to a Boonex document that can provide you with the additional permission setting commands.

Give it a try and see what happens.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I can't use shell access on my account. Is there another way?

Thanks again.

Did you try it with your FTP program?

I can reset perms for my entire account via FTP. I use the latest Filezilla.

There appeared to be a problem with the previous build or Filezilla not setting perms - but it was intermittent. I would suggest using the latest and giving it a go.

I have changed the permission to the base directory to 777 (If I understood well!!), but when i try to reload the page I get a 500 Internal Server Error. Any Idea what am I doing wrong?

Nah, put that back to the previous permission setting. Setting the base of your account to 777 is a rather large no-no - so change it back a.s.a.p.  ; )

AFTER RESETTING YOUR BASE PERMISSIONS..............

Set your "inc" folder to 777 and then try installing again. You will have to roll it back to 755 if you're successful.
