Dolphin 7 Paid Membership on Signup

I am seeing a lot of posts about the "crucial" items Boonex seems to be leaving out of version 7 and have one of my own. I have been asking from the beginning of the 7 betas and am still hoping to see it; Paid membership upon signup!


I know there is a module that can do this for D6, and I have considered purchasing it assuming the will offer a v7 version. But I was hoping that this would be a built in feature of D7.


Even if this was an optional feature you had to turn on, it would be nice to have instead of making users find how they upgrade their account, especially if your sites only option is for paid memberships.

It keeps coming up here.  If you search you will find a recent discussion on this forum and someone also did a blog post on this.   I'd like membership level to be a select list on the join form - with paying selections automatically taking you to Paypal and back.  Not sure if they will get that far but they have put something related to this on Trac for D7.1.   As I always say when this comes up, we are leaving money on the table.

Yeah, it seems to me like a must have feature. Assuming the guy over at expertzz who has this as a module really does do an upgrade for 7, I will just be purchasing that I guess.

Has anybody contacted the dev at expertzzz about this? I couldnt even find the mod that offered this for D6. Would be very interested if anybody was offering a mod for D7 that did this.

Browserweb over at expertzzz has the 6.1 version, and says a 7 version will be release this month, so we will see. I bought the 6.1 version and it works great, so I hope he comes through with the 7 version. Maybe if we all keep bugging him about it we can get it out faster.

I have a workaround that uses what dolphin has, no real heavy modifications. I set users to suspended and trap them in membership and hide everything till they pay. pm me if you want to try it on D7 and be a guinea pig
