Dolphin 7.1 = Elgg?

Is it just me or does Dolphin 7.1 look almost exactly like Elgg? I noticed a long time ago that Andrew was a supporter on the Elgg site:

Now 7.1 comes out and to me it looks exactly like an Elgg site.. anyone else notice this?

I haven't worked with Elgg since pre 1.0, but based on that I'd say the commonalities were few and far between. 

The core functionality differs in many ways. One piece they have in common: horrible forums.

As far as a template goes, most social community engines are going to become very similar as they develop I'd imagine. They are all going after the same thing right? Deliver a clean base experience that's easy to modify.
