Cannot get mobile videos to upload from cam, says "need to wait till file is converted" on the mobile app. You cannot browse the videos albums on the droid, when you select gallery it opens the photos albums, not the videos on the phone. I got warning that MMS videos could not be bigger than 596K, that seems very low for videos, as even a one second clip will not upload. ManOfTeal.COM a Proud UNA site, six years running strong! |
Phone specs ? I had no problem with the video uploads on the boonex beta site or my local beta site.... Edit: well sort of no problems: http://www.boonex.com/forums/?action=goto&my_threads=1#topic/Android-App-v-1-8-Beta.htm I could get up to about a 12mb video i think it was. which at 1080p was around 3 to 4 seconds... https://dolphin-techs.com - Skype: Dolphin Techs |

jumped the gun on this, the video did upload.. but if this what we have, it's shitty. http://boonexsupport.com/betas/m/videos/view/test and it's a 720p video from phone ManOfTeal.COM a Proud UNA site, six years running strong! |
BUT, it seems to be so much faster; well, on my server. ManOfTeal.COM a Proud UNA site, six years running strong! |
Video quality was set low by default, so phone can encode it and it can be sent. We have made many tests on different Android devices and only small videos can be processed without problems. Some devices can override this setting and you still can have hi quality video, but then on most devices it must be not longer than 2-4 seconds, to be able to handle it properly. jumped the gun on this, the video did upload.. but if this what we have, it's shitty.

I hope this situation will change in the future, so it will be more newer devices with better hardware, more quality options in SDK, better internet speeds on mobile worldwide, etc. but then on most devices it must be not longer than 2-4 seconds, to be able to handle it properly. thanks for explaining, will this increase or get better in the future?
