Dolphin 7.03 Passwords are not working after Field

After Dolphin installation and importation of data from my previous versions of Dolphin, everything works fine UNTIL I change something in the Fields builder. The changes that I make in the Fields Builder are minor. By minor, I mean, I simply drag blocks off of the registration form and/or change the search options.

What I've heard is "Do a clean install and everything should work fine". Well, I did this "twice" and the problems still persists.
I've also done it the "upgrade" way and it still continues. Everything will work fine until anything is done to the fields builder.

I've gone through the process 3 times in 3 different ways. WTF is going on?!!! I checked the db password in the Profiles table and after you do something to the fields in fields builder, the passwords and hash change for all of th passwords, thus rendering the site virtually useless.

Oh, the other advice that I've gotten was "Do a password reset". Well, even with password reset, the new password doesn't even work.

I'm not a Dolphin Noob at all. I've used and worked with Dolphin since Dolphin 5.6 but this one has gotten me PTFO. Please advise.

Oh, but the way, I've done the typical....clean the cache, cache_public, and tmp files MANUALLY via FTP.  Clean data imports, check database tables, recreated the hash.  Nothing seems to fix the problems.  No one can login.

Why does everyone avoid this topic like the plague?  I've browse through the forums and this question has been put forth several times but no one (any reps from Boonex) seem to give a satisfactory answer.  Even in the Ticketing system, the response was vague.  What gives?

Ok, I've narrowed the problem down a little.  None of the login work on the home page.  I can login just fine from the other parts of the website.  I've check the JS Links for the pop up and they are identical from page to page.

So, it looks like this might be a JS or PHP issue that specific to the home page.

So far, I've turned off all caches and cleared all cache folders.  I disabled security, then tried it.  I'm at a loss. Advice...anyone?????

There are a lot of factors that could effect this.

It could easily be an issue with MySQL, your Dolphin files, or your Web Browser.

Have you installed any modules or made changes to the code?

Do you have more then one dolphin install using the same database?

What Web Browser are you using? Are you using Ad Blocker or NoScript or anything like those?

I could go on with questions digging for an answer. But even if I had full access to you system it could take hours to figure out and is thus outside the scope of offering free advice.

Do you have links to all these other posts and support tickets?

LeatherSportB ...answering your questions in the order presented..

Nope, I haven't installed any additional modules.

I'm only using one script per database.

I always test using Opera, Firefox, and IE.  The problem is the same in all 3.

No Ad Blockers, etc

It was a clean install.  The only things that I've done since is using the Migration Tool and Remove a couple of Fields from the Registration using the Dolphin Admin Panel.  I changed back to tmp_uni just to make sure that it didn't have anything to do with the custom template.  After i did this, I once again, clear all caches, include browser caches.

This is one of the wierest things.  The JS codes are identical from page to page but on the homepage the logins are being rejected.

try clicking the login link, instead of pressing enter after typing the password.

uuuh, did that.  I definitely, DEFINITELY appreciate the responses LeatherSportB and hope you can hit the nail on the head, but I've done all of the basics, then some.  I am a developer myself and have used Dolphin for a few years so most of the primary checks have been done.

I'm looking for some deeper insight as to what may be going on under the hood of this thing to have the homepage actiing silly like this and the other pages working fine.  ....hmmmm....let me go check something.  I think I may have talked myself into the answer,  BRB.

Your welcome.

I would try to use firebug to look at the network responses and compare the working pages to home.

Yell <screaming and pulling my hair out>I loosing my mind trying to figure out what's going on here.  Why can't I log into my site from the homepage and from the control panel from my home!!!!!!!!???????  I can log in on pages such as the music, videos, and chat pages, but on the home page and on the mysite/administration page, I can't login.  It's rejecting my passwords.  I have 3 computers in my home...all have multiple browsers that I use for testing and each computer with every browswer displays the same issue.

Now, this is the kicker.  I CAN LOG IN USING A PROXY BROWSER FROM ANY PAGE. In essense, in a proxy browser, everything seems to work fine.  This made me thing that perhaps it was either something local or something with respect to security that is blocking me.  Because I'm able to do this, I thought that perhaps my ip was being block. I check all of the Dolphin Tables and deleting any IPs that my have been mine and still nada.  I turned off all security and ip tracking and still nothing.  I deleted items in the cache folders and still no dice with respect to logging in through the homepage or administration page.  No user ID work on any of these pages .  Everything seems normal but it's not.  <screaming and pulling my hair out>  Someone please let me know what may be going on here!!!

Are you using the default Uni template? if not can you try switching the template, clearing all caches (server and browser) and try?

<<SCREAMING..PULLING MY LAST 2 STRANDS OF HAIR OUT>>>  Ok

I've:

1. remove any other templates other than uni...clear all caches...cleared browser caches

2. Nothing!

3.  Deleting Template Uni, cleared caches, then reuploading a fresh version of template_uni

4. Nothing!!!

We are facing the same problem after upgrading from 7.0.3 to 7.0.4 .

None of our member logins are working.  only the admin login is working.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

Did you enable those? If so, make sure the one named zomgbl.spameatingmonkey.net. is disabled. It's a test one, and not to be used.

I had the same problem after upgrading to 7.0.4 and as Deano indicated, the problem appears to be the antispam tools. I had this problem even though I never enabled the antispam and in my admin panel it said they were disabled. Once I finally deleted all of antispam services listed, the login issue was gone.

What makes this situation especially difficult is that when the member tried to log in, the error message displayed to them by Dolphin was that they have the wrong password/username. It does not say "Your IP address has been blocked". Like most, I spent much, much time trying to figure out what was wrong with the passwords (when I knew they were correct) only to finally figure out that despite the password error message, the problem had nothing at all to do with the password.

THANK YOU! I just finished upgrading a week ago, and didn't realize my logins were messed up... this was definitely the problem. I deactivated this anti spam tool and was able to login immediately.
