I predict that Beta 6 will be released some time between Beta 5 and Beta 7.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

I think that went right over your head. It was a joke. No one really knows what comes after 6, or when 6 will be done. that is waht trac is for. So we can make our own judgements and watch the progress without bugging the staff as they make the software better.

How about beta 22,347

It's takes as many betas as it takes. Thats the bug fixing process.

If you don't like it, go back to dolphin 6.1.6 and wait for D7 to reach it's final.

Thats what i am doing.

Thats pretty much all you can do in this situation, is either wait for the final version of dolphin 7. And just use 6.16 and try to get it modded to your specifications.  Or even wait for poseidon which may be out around march of next year.  Imo I would not wait for dolphin 7, if i have a successful site already. I really don't see any reason to. There are alot of big changes with dolphin 7, but I wouldnt just put a halt on my site in anticipation of d7.  I think the people that should wait are ones that havent yet put alot into dolphin 6.16, and it really wont be a big deal to wait a few more weeks or a month.

I have a dolphin 6.16 site im just kind of testing, right now just to get alot of the admin functions down.  And I have also been paying alot of attention on the progress of d7. I wont actually install d7 on my server till the full version is released.

Ok, it's right to fix all bugs before release but, it's time to change trac system!!!

Some reported issue are not in the trac and will not fixed.

We need an open to all ticket system.

Yes and no. The problem with open ticket systems, is that they could be doubles or similiar or not bugs at all and user error. The staff does well with managing the tickets now. They fix anywhere between 4-6 pey work day and offer 30-40 changesets per workday as well.

Just the fact that they offer us the ability to see the modifications through the changesets, is leaps and bounds past what many other software companies do.

So i personally like thier system now because it's efficient.

Agreed. We cannot have a open ticket system. It would indeed result in hundreds of problems reported that are not bugs. Those that report bugs have to be experienced enough to determine that it is indeed a bug and not a problem locally with their own machine, or a host problem.

It would result in a huge slowdown in development because the team would have to look through everyone of those tickets to verify them.
