I just cleared my cache to see if it would fix the database problem I am having, they I went to the cache file by ftp, and found all sorts of stuff there. I don't get it - shouldn't the clear cache button get rid of everything in those folders? I even have all my cache settings turned off and files still get loaded in there. It it this way for everyone, or is something wrong with my setup? Is this a bug? |
obviously not, I got a ticket created earlier

That means is doesn't work right? I was talking about the cache file.

in the folder cache only files that are left are
user1.php
user2.php
user3.php
user.....php
you can delete them and see what happens to your site :)

I know I can delete them. I don't want to delete them. I want the clear cache button to delete them. |
i did that in d7 b6 and all my members vanished give it a try |
I've already deleted them by hand - several times. My members are still there, and the files come back. In any event this discussion is academic. We are just trying to get the clear cache button to work and Zarcon already got a trouble ticket written. |
Ticket #1583 closed:
"The problem cannot be reproduced. 'Clean all' equals to 'Clean templates' + 'Clean db' + 'Clean js/css'. In this case, all cache is cleaned except system configuration parameters. Cache created to speed up the script (page loading) and if it would be cleaned by cron job then there is no need in it at all. Note. If you want to disable template's cache you may do it via Dolphin admin panel -> settings -> advanced settings -> templates."

Ok, so just to make sure I understand this, If I remove the check marks from caching in the templates area (only one I have right now IS the HTML files to be cached), then that will keep the /cache clean and changes I have done in the admin pane (etc. page builders) will show?
Just want to make sure I understand this correctly. If so, then that is fine.
