 I am seeing comments at times disappear. Not often but at times. I have yet to check the database to see if the comments are gone from the database; perhaps it is just a retrieval error. The comment box for the comment is there, but the comment itself is blank. Has anyone else experience disappearing comments? Geeks, making the world a better place |
do you allow member to edit their own comments? perhaps they edited it and removed it? |
Members can edit their comments but in this case the member is saying they did not edit the comment and was peeved that the comment they made is not showing. It is including a place holder for the comment; so it may be the comment entry exists in the database but for some reason the comment field itself is blank. I need to go poke around in the database and see if I can find the comment. It was left on a blog post. However, then the question would be what can cause the comment field to be changed after the comment was placed? Geeks, making the world a better place |
Yes, the comment field is blank in the database. I wonder if the person that left the comment went back and edited the comment and it did not save properly. I will need to talk to the comment author to find out. Geeks, making the world a better place |
