Disable email?

Hi Guys,

 just in the process of moving my old member dbase to Dolphin 6.1.6 and I need to know the best way to temporarily disable email sending...otherwise everytime I add a member to the new dbase it will email the member to say they have joined...

doing all this by hand, one at a time :-(

Any ideas on the easiest way?

Just turn off the cron jobs and e-mail notifications.  Or redo the e-mail notificaton so that it tells them they're profile has transferred to the new system.  That way they know theres something new at your site to go check out.  Make sure you tell them in the e-mail that it will take (set a date to be completed by) such and such amount of time to move all the profiles over.

 Doh, now why didn't I think of that, saves me sending emails when it's complete...and they may even help out by rewriting their own profiles!
