I've just released v1.0.1, which contains some fixes to do with the package, causing templates not to render correctly

Also added an update link and removed the encryption.

Anyone using v1.0.0 is highly recommended to upgrade!

Install instructions? They are not included in the zip file.

I get this error when trying to access this module in the admin area: http://mysite.com/modules/?r=dbadverts/administration/

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/mysite/public_html/modules/denre/dbadverts/classes/DbAdvertsDb.php on line 27

I cant install this module.

Did you do a full install or an update? Also, did you check the permissions on those directories (denre/dbadverts)?

Its a full install, totaly fresh.
i think the permissions are right, 755?

755 for directories, 644 on files, and of course uploaded by the correct user.

I'm also making the assumption that you copied the directory dbadverts from the zip file to [dolphin root]/modules/denre/

Yes to all but i needed to upload it with FTP.

When i upload it to denre/dbadverts it dosent show up under modules.

I need to have it like this denre/ and the files there to see the module

Problem solved, it was all my fault.
When i put the DbAdverts in the right directory all work fine.

When I add a banner to my site, nothing happens.  I add the code, the title, and so on.  I save it, the check the box and hit activate, but no banner shows up.  And it doesn't show as "Active"

There were no instructions with your download that I could find, so I guessed my way through it and got the module to install.  Am I missing something?

Did you also create an ad block, and did you add this block to the page using pagebuilder?

Is there anyway to do it without creating a whole new block for it, or no?

You can only display ads by creating blocks. However, if you have suggestions how to display ads in other ways, do let me know!

readme.txt is now included in the download ;-)

Do the activate/deactivate buttons do anything?  They don't seem to for me.  The only ads showing up are the romance-net ads, even after I "deactivate" them and then "activate" the exoclick ads - but there's no indication that doing either thing actually has an effect.  Also, as you can see in the picture, none of the other fields are populated (Width, Fold, Active, etc...)

Also, I can't delete an advert.  To change it I had to actually go in and edit the code so it used other banners from another network.

I tried, but can't reproduce any of the issues on my own test environment.

Using the activate/deactivate buttons I can activate/deactivate the selecteded ads, and I also can edit, copy and delete ads/blocks.

Please PM, so we can have a look together and hopefully solve your issues.

Question: Tried Using this great MOD with Propeller Ads and the Ad Rotater refuses to work. Any suggestions?

We use Adsense and it works great in Turing banners, but they rip us off on a lot of money. So we are seeking better companies. Yet, thus we need the rotation script to work. Knowing its a free script, we do use it and enjoy it when its working.

Have setup the module,but when ever i insert any ad code it says "ADVERTISE HERE" without displaying the appropriate ads

right now the banners of boonex (Tools->Banners) are not responsive is this one responsive?

The module just loads a banner that fits the block, so you could say it's responsive. However for it to be 100% responsive, your ad code needs to be responsive too.

 HI, in general banner rotators in themselves are responsive in that they rotate the ads you place in them. The ads themselves need to be responsive. If they are solid images they will not be responsive. Adsense has responsive ads, one size fits all and they work well. As to other companies, most have some nowadays.

how can i translate the word "Advertise here" to other language

i tried through language settings and searched files system

Currently it's hardcoded in 2 places.

1) /dbadverts/classes/DbAdvertsDb.php

2) /dbadverts/templates/base/frame_ad.html

I'll make that in to language keys in a later version!

I'm having some issues after the install process. It's like the lang. keys aren't being compiled and when adding a new ad, it loads the page and then goes to all white. Ive attached a couple images to show what I mean about the lang. key. I'm using version 7.2.1 btw!

It seems your PHP is not configured with short_open_tag.

In your php.ini set short_open_tag=on.

I'll make sure short_open_tag will not be needed in future releases!

hi I'm having some problems with my banner rotator .instead of iver rotating banners or even staying on same banners its displaying the same banner in most of the boxes unless you keep refreshing the page then comes back ok but then goes off again next time log in any way to correct this please ?

Not sure what you mean. The module does not rotate banners, it picks a random ad that fulfills the criteria (size, above or below the folt, page, etc)

Most likely you have no ads that fulfill the minimum requirements for that ad space.

There is no activation needed. You most likely have no ads that fullfil the minimum requirements for that adspace.

It could be that you did not specify the width of the ads correctly for example.
