You're being attacked by spammers selling knock off sports jerseys.. they are trying to insert their ads directly into your database but they aren't very bright and it just ends up causing errors.

I saw on your other thread you mentioned a VPS, if you're on one yourself you can install mod_security and CSF firewall and block them all.

Here are some other ideas if you don't want to do that:

Spammers are attracted to Dolphin like a moth to flame, so lock it down quick or you'll have an even bigger headache trying to delete 200,000 blog posts if you get hit by some that actually know how to post.

OK thanks for your input.  If I may ask, what is their intention/motivate of doing so??

Money, isn't that everyones motive for doing everything? People pay these companies in China and India to advertise their products. Some people know they are spammers and some people pay them and have no idea how they are going to advertise. If you go on the freelance programming sites people post projects all the time like "I need 10,000 backlinks to my site!" and these people bid like $25 and $50. If you pay someone $25 for 10,000 links to your site they are spammers and are going to post them this way.

I guess since the stuff 99% of these sites are selling is illegal this is the only way they CAN advertiese.

Thank you so much and am sure many of us have learned from your experience.  One more thing is, I have deleted all their accounts BUT I can still see their blogs, deleting thousands of blogs will take over some time to do especially dolphin delete all did not extend to more numbers.

Any idea how to delete all in dolphin without having to delete about 50 rows only etc? cos I can see over 350 thousand spanning through hundreds of next next next pages.

Your welcome.  When you delete them in admin it is supposed to delete their blogs, and any other things they have posted automatically. Did you delete them directly from phpmyadmin?

If you don't have any blogs from real members that aren't spam then one easy way to delete them all is go in admin and uninstall the blogs module and then re-install it. That should clear them all out.

and as a general rule of maintenance, you should control who is allowed to join your site.

site admin --> settings --> moderation settings --> untick box 1 & 3

read through some of sky forums posts, and prolaznik prozak wrote a hack that allows you to set certain email extensions from being accepted as part of the registration. sky forum has utilized a join form field required that must be humanly answered, thwarting bots only.

at any rate, there are a lot of answers on here on this.

i would also like to ask who your hosting service provider is? because clearly they are not on the 'infamous' referred list?

your hosting provider should have been able to look at that query and known immediately that the error on key2 would indicate automatic attempts at posting on the blog.

and if they didnt, then you might need to get you another host before your site gets busy.
