Dares Mod Support (Modzzz)

This is the support forum for the Dares mod.

This mod is now updated for Dolphin 7.1

Layout fixes have been made. Re-upload all files and clear cache.

Ok- Been working with the Dares module more now....

Couple of things here-

1. Have you tested to see what happens in this scenario:

A member creates a new Dare and configures their Dare so that others must upload a video in response to the Dare....

After a person responds to the Dare by uploading their video, the person who created the Dare for whatever crazy reason goes in and edits the Dare so that Photo Entries must be submitted instead. (After a person already has submitted a video entry)

I think it should simply be set as optional for people to submit either photo or video or whatever media to complete the challenge. Another problem here is- When a person submits a Dare Entry, there should be a thumbnail related to their specific entry posted to the Dare View Page inside the "Completed Entries" block, instead of generic image.

2. This is definitely a module that would be so much better if Dare Entries allowed members to respond with YouTube Videos as server space is a huge concern among many site owners here.

3. If members are going to get excited about earning Street Cred and Hypes, then they should almost have their own blocks on the Dare View Page with a bit more focus to give them more "Hype". -just a thought-

Added the ability to use Youtube videos for Dare Entries.

Added blocks on Dare View and Dare Entry View pages to highlight members who have given Hypes and Street Cred.

Some other miscellaneous adjustments made.

Dares mod update - Improved integration with Points module. Added Points actions for completing Dare entries, giving Hypes and Street Creds :

-> Re-upload modules\modzzz\dares\classes

-> Upload sqlpoints.php from the "Dares_files" folder and run http://www.yoursite.com/sqlpoints.php (change "yoursite" to your URL)

Updated to remove the word "modzzz" that appears in the query string in some instances.

Dares module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

This module is also compatible with Dolphin 7.3

The module was updated to resolve an issue with the actions button on the Profile not being removed upon un-installation.

I uninstalled the module tonight because I don't want people to use it. The uninstall went fine, but when I clicked on other members links on the "People" page, I got this message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function isAllowedDare() on null in /home/aussie/public_html/aaa/templates/base/scripts/BxBaseFunctions.php(232) : eval()'d code on line 1

I reinstalled it and the problem went away. The trouble is, I don't want people using this module for the time being.

@johnk42 - Re-download the module and update your site with the latest files then attempt to uninstall again.
