DOLPHIN 7.1.6 CHAT DIED. NOT WORKING... FIX??

AS OF AUGUST 14-15 2017 DOPLHIN 7.1.6 CHAT HAS COMPLETELY DIED.

IT IS SPINNING ON LOADING AND NOT EVEN MAKING IT TO CONNECTING OR CHAT.

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE.

COMPLETE RESTORE OF RMS

COMPLETE RESTORE OF HTDOCS (REMOVING OLD HTDOCS AND REPLACING WITH OLDER VERSIONS)

COMPLETE RESTORE OF MYSQL DATABASE.

ALL OF THESE RESTORES ARE FROM EARLIER WORKING VERSIONS.

THERE IS NO WAY ANYTHING COULD HAVE SCREWED UP CHAT??

SO WHAT IS GOING ON?? IS CHAT TRYING TO REPORT SOMEWHERE???

OR DID YOU CLOSE IT DOWN?? I USE DOLPHIN 7.1.6

I HAVE RESTORED EVERYTHING FROM THE GROUND UP INCLUDING THE FIREWALL SETTINGS

WHAT IS GOING ON?? FLASH APPS SERVER CHECK?? OR WHAT??

I HAVE WORKED ALL DAY FOR NOTHING. IT IS NOT WORKING

Please ease up on the caps lock. Have any changes happened on the server? New IP address, anything? Make sure the RMS address has the right IP address set, and make sure these ports are opened in the firewall:

• 1935
• 1936
• 5080

Also, 7.1.6 is ancient. It has known security issues, and is missing out on a lot of fixes and improvements. I would strongly recommend that you upgrade. if that's not possible, I understand - in that case, make sure that all security fixes are applied.

If it's still not working after all that, check the RMS logs to see if there's any issues on that end.

No, there has been no changes. and if there was. it has been overwritten with a working copy of RMS.

same applies for the flash directory. deleted and restored from a working flash directory.

modules chat and htmlv5 ( i think) also redone

this is really weird. as i woke up to a server message, tht my website was down and under maintanance.

this error was only fixable by deleting htdocs and the restoreing an old working one.

aug 14-15 2017 was when this occured.

it's baffling me. i checked rms and the firewall ports. those ports 5080 1935 and 1936 are all open and set.

it doesn't seem to be rms as the rest of the flash modules appear to work fine. ie : board.. it goes loading. connecting and then th drawing board.

i really want my chat back and working. i have run out of ideas to fix it. i use to use chat every day. and my users are a little ticked off. anyone else ever have this problem? or know a fix? I tried to upgrade D7.1.6 but i keep getting an upgrade error so can't keep applying updates till i get to 7.3.3. I definately need help on this one. i even went as far as downloading 7.1.6 and installing flash (and modules) over writing the htdocs code and still nothing. once again nothing was ever changed on the server. and all code and software running it was restored to earlier working copies. including the mysql database. several times with different known working copies.   ?????????????HELP???????????????

OK. Deleted the log file. then stop and restarted RMS.

NEW UPDATE TO PROBLEM.

The chat room is still spinning on loading. not even getting to connecting?

however. the video chat goes loading connecting then works.

this has got me baffled. i have tried default dolphin 7.1.6 code and it does not work at all.

i have left a ticket with boonex support. hopefully they get back to me.

in the meantime if anyone knows how to test this, and possibly get it working i would appreciate it.

once again. read above to see all the steps i have t5ried to resolve this.

i have even going as far as to take the firewall offline. stop RMS (windows) and restart it.

checking the services to make sure it is running then trying the chat room again.

so it is definately not a firewall issue as the same event occurs without a firewall.

help if you can? and has anyone else experienced this problem with 7.1.6 chat? post?

HAD TO MANUALLY DELETE THEN USE AN OLD COPY OF MY MYSQL DATABASE. THEN MANUALLY RESTORE ALL THE CURRENT (TODAYS) DATA. and continously do a repair database on each move i made to get it to work...IT IS NOW WORKING. MOST OF THE PROBLEMS WERE WITH THE _RAY FEILDS. ooops caps. at least i got it working. only two more problems to go. recomment buttons and google map controls. hopefully someday i will fix or have someone fix those for me. i am open to offers.
