D7 Hosting Issue. Cost, reability? A big question?

Hi all, I am reading all the topics about the bugs you're finding, errors and so on, but none of you guys is asking how this software will run actually? Which hosting provider and how much to keep it going? These are very important questions that you have to ask yourself.

What if you have over 20 000 members? Please do not come to me and say that your shared/cheap hosting where you're testing the software at the moment it's fine, because it's not. The program it's too slow as it is, and I can't see you managing to keep your visitors unless you've got something like dedicated hosting, managed servers...e.t.c, with of course at least 500GB of space lots of bandwidth, lots of RAM memory and powerful processors....

Otherwise..., just forget it. 

By the way for those of you who think that the hosting recommended by boonex is good please don't waste your time responding to this topic.

Ok, let's be short: Could you please give me an example of a good hosting for site that have around 20 000 members, 1000 videos, 20 000 photos, 5 000 blogs...e.t.c

I was going to respond to this... Then I realized that I use HFW for my Servers so what could I possibly know?  I was going to give you an honest opin then I realized you only care about starting an argument...

HFW I believe stands for http://www.hostforweb.com which hasn't got much to offer for it's prices.

I do not intend to start any argument, and if you can't respond why waste your time?

Thanks for the link, I've been looking at that option the other day, well it isn't really  $59.99 a month as later when you go to customise your order it adds more, but anyway yes this is a very good offer, pity I am not very happy with their speed. I still keep one of my accounts with them, but never been too impressed with the speed.

You could try fasthosts - I have been with them for going on two years now and never had a problem at all - tho you will need to get the server set up to run dolphin on, which I am sure you are aware of...they have some pretty good offers on at the moment - and the bandwidth is unlimited for life...
