is it possible to download the new beta5 software and upload it without loosing members and files?

I don't know, but try this:

-

1.  Do a full "structure and content" backup of your new beta installation.

2.  Do a full "structure and content" backup of your old beta installation (the one where you have profiles, etc).

3.  Copy the backup file from your old beta installation, to your new beta installation (you might rename it at the same time).

4.  Do a "restore" of the old beta backup file in your new beta installation.

5.  Test

6.  If it doesn't work, do a restore from the file you made in step 1

7.  If it breaks everything, don't blame me.

8.  If it works perfectly, post here and tell everyone how great I am.

p.s.  Another method it to restore individual tables - might be safer, but keep a backup file all the same.

Better way is only to copy new structure of tables from new beta to the old one, not content

+ overwrite all new files from beta5

That may work

There's a ton of database changes between B4 and B5.
