D7 B8 inc directory permission

What's up with permission level for the inc directory? When trying to install beta8 it says that /inc should be non-writable but is set to writable.

Is chmod 755 not correct?

I'm getting the same message! What to do? I'm in the final step of the install script. Shall I click next at the script screen or?

Particular permissions depends on hosting, please contact your hosting support about it.

As temporary solution you can try to chmod 777 inc

Are you running suPHP by any chance?

Running suPHP by any chance - yes, and I'we got to know that -

You should always skip the final permission changing step if you're installing on CGI or Windows (CGI in your case which is the same as suPHP)

Nice to know!

Is there a permission list so I can compare files, maybe that is the issue with my video and sound.

It turned out to be a problem with my FTP client. Try changing the permission via your Cpanel and see if that works for you.
