D7.1 Upgrade Process

I have not yet done an 'upgrade' from 7.09 to 7.1 yet (I built from new install). There seems to be a document on wiki that explains you can upgrade directly from 7.09 to 7.1.

But, When you download the 'Cumulative' package, I can see files for 7.0.9>7.1B1 and 7.1B1>7.1B2, and 7.1B2 > 7.1

So does this mean you have to go through B1 and B2 before you can reach the 'final' 7.1 upgrade?

Yes and no.

The upgrades are applied in order, but the normal manual steps that you would normally do like clearing the cache and recompiling are not done until the last one.

So it more like apply the first, go directly to the next, then directly to the last, then do all the final manual steps.

Ok Gotcha. So basically it is a 3 step process to get to the final version, but only need to do these manual steps ?

Yes. But at step 9 of those docs where you apply all 3 updates, there will be some manual steps at the last one. Which is stated in step 10 of those docs.
