D7.1.1 Supposedly

Hello.

Im having some strange issues with my install of boonex.

The site appears to be fine but when you click on some links for example Blog/ or m/ they end up with "error 500" displays.

I have checked the file permissions and the owner:groups permissions via CLI and cannot seem to figure this out :S .

I have monitored the error log and i cannot seem to find the issue?

Can someone please assist in shedding some light on this . Thank you :)

Hello Chris!

This error means that your server hasn't installed modrewrite. It is one from the list of tecnhical requirements. See details here:

https://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolTech

and more about error 500.

https://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/GenDol7TShooter#IvegotInternalerror500.

With the best regards, Leonid

Hello Leonid.

Thanks for the response.

I can confirm that rewrite is fully active along with a host of other modules on the apache server itself as other websites run without a hitch using it however upon further inspection it appears that boonex doesnt know what it thinks  as it shows "rewrite_module : UNDEFINED" so i ran the command ```[root@cloud ~]# apachectl -M 2>&1 | grep rewrite_module

 rewrite_module (shared)

```
and as you can see there it is operational :S
Chris
i have also noticed the exact same UNDEFINED for the other modules required by boonex?
[root@cloud ~]# apachectl -M 2>&1 | grep expires_module
 expires_module (shared)
[root@cloud ~]# apachectl -M 2>&1 | grep deflate_module
 deflate_module (shared)
[root@cloud ~]#
To add, 7.1.1 is very old and insecure. I strongly recommend you upgrade, or at least make sure this fix is applied to the site: https://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/Dolphin-7-3-3-Manual-Security-Fix.htm
Thanks for that Nathan.
i understand And know that 7.1.1 is outdated and I both want and need to upgrade to the latest version but I have very little time to dedicate to the upgrade :(
im just hesitant as I made so many customisations to the 7.1 site for membership levels and restrictions etc.
i will get that code updated as a matter of priority though!
thank you for the heads up!
Yes; I am in the progress of upgrading an older install.  There are many changes when you reach 7.2.0.  You probably won't have many issues going up to 7.1.6.
I am going to try ignoring the custom code until the end and see how that goes.
