D7.0.9 site using 15GB of memory?

The memory usage on a dedicated server for a Dolphin 7.0.9 site is:

[root@server1 httpd]# free -m

total used free shared buffers cached

Mem: 15946 15076 869 0 371 1660

-/+ buffers/cache: 13044 2901

Swap: 1025 1 1024

Is it normal for a Dolphin 7.0.9 community site with about 900 members, typically less than 10 online at any time, to use so much memory? I purposely set the cron jobs to run at different times so I don't think that's the issue. The site was running well for many months but the last few has been having memory issues yet there has been no major changes. I had a db expert check the MySQL service and was told it's running fine. There are no "memory" errors showing up in the log files. It's a mystery... :-(

Would really need to know more, like what's running and using your resources.

I'm no longer the "webmaster" for the club that owns the site but, since I built the site, they've asked me to look into the issue. Let me get their formal approval to purchase your time to review the server settings via http://www.boonex.com/m/dolphin-server-audit-2014-02-14 ... including their permission to give you full access to their server.

Sorry, I stopped offering services through the market some time back. I must have forgotten to pull that entry. I can still take a look, but not in any official capacity.
