D7.0.9 - Privacy Settings at member_privacy.php not working

Hi all,

I have disabled video, sound and files from all memberships and have removed them from all menu's. Why do they still show at Privacy Settings?

Unfortunately I had to install video, sound and files because of other modules. I can't run my site with this bug. There is no way to remove them from Privacy Settings.

Please add a ticket.

Regards,

Harvliet

Is this a bug?

Hello

It's not a bug because you've removed the modules from Menus, disabled the Memnership Actions related to these modules, but Privacy engine is not a part of menus or membership levels. In the same time these modules don't have enable/disable feature which should hide them from anywhere.

So, if you want to remove them from "Privacy Settings" page you need to do it directly via Dolphin's DB -> sys_privacy_actions table. Remove rows with videos/sounds/files as module_uri. Don't forget to clear cache to apply the changes.

Hey Anton,

but Privacy engine is not a part of menus or membership levels

How difficult do you think this would be to integrate?

I definately think this is a must, because every module might not apply to every membership level. I wonder if completely removing them from the db would have any adverse effects? Thanks!

I have a related problem, but it may be completely different. I don't mind my members having the options to set preferences to thing that I am not using, but I do'nt want my members to be able to create their own privacy groups.

Is there a way to remove the "My Privacy Groups" & "Create New Privacy Group" blocks from the privacy settings page?

This is something I have searched and searched for, please help

Mel
