D7.0.6 Upgrade problem

I've just upgraded to D7.0.6 (from D7.0.5).

I am getting this: ALTER TABLE `bx_arl_entries` CHANGE `caption` `caption` VARCHAR(100);: Table 'admin_dolph.bx_arl_entries' doesn't exist

What do I need to do to fix this?

And what does that mean?

I do not use the Boonex Articles mod, could this be the cause?

I have removed the Boonex articles mod and tried to upgrade once more, I get "

7.0.5-7.0.6 Update can not be applied"

So what needs to be done, now.....

This might be a silly question, but wouldn't it make more sense if the upgrade script tested to see if the articles module was installed, before attempting to alter a table belonging to the articles module?

If you are not using the articles module, It makes zero sense to install the 7.0.5 article module, run the 7.0.5 - 7.0.6 upgrade, then uninstall the module.  I think I'll wait until you guys get the bugs out of the upgrade script before I upgrade.

I have the same problem.. Now it will not let me upgrade.. Any one know what to do?

What you need to do is to go into your database...and look for the table labeled sys_options and then inside that table, look for the row sys_tmp_version. Once you find this entry, you will see that the value is probably set to 7.0.4....you need to edit the entry to say 7.0.5. Once you are finished, you can go back to your browser window and click refresh. You should now be able to click on the upgrade button.

Hope this helps

if thats the case you left out a step in the upgrade process where you should have touched the header.inc.php and changed the version to 7.0.5

Did you run the upgrade successfully? If so, you need to edit the header.inc.php file and look for the line below the $site['ver] = '7.0';  and you will see $site['build'] = '4' or '5';

Change the '4' or '5' to '6' then save your changes and refresh your site and check the version in Admin section.

 right...

[edit] upgraded all sites(listed on boonex) today with no errors, strange too that webcamyourface.com did not have the articles module installed and the upgrade did not stop and the articles module now is "1.0.6"

I have restored my D7.0.5 backup.

I will either wait for D7.1 or until the upgrade process has a few bugs ironed out.

Problem solved,

I am not using boonex articles but ultimate articles from Modzzz.

My work around to the entries problem .. simply remove from

Upgrade/files/7.0.5to7.0.6/modules/articles .. <-- remove articles directory, u dont use it, remove it ;-)
