Customizing the navbar and using tokens

Hey All,

How do I get rid of the template palette in the navbar?  And how do I make sure a custom template is the default?

How do I get rid of the the "overflow?" (that little icon with the plus sign that shows modules that couldn't fit into the nav bar)

Finally, I'm trying to add an id to the page_column div only for the homepage, but page_1.html uses tokens - __page_main_code__ - and unfortunately I just don't know php.  Dammit.  Where can I find this code -

<div id="page_column_1" class="page_column page_column_first" style="width: 687px;">

<div id="page_column_2" class="page_column page_column_last" style="width: 311px;">

And thanks for putting up with me.  Smile

One frequently recommended addon is firebug for firefox. It will allow you to change things on your website and see them instantly. From there you can create a custom template.

To make a custom template a default, go to your admin panel - Settings on the left, Templates. Then click Default for the template you want to set as default.

In this same section, in the upper right corner there is a settings link, if you click that, look for:

Number of main menu tabs visible to members outside of "more" tab

and

Number of main menu tabs visible to guests outside of "more" tab

but depending on how many modules you have installed will affect how this works.

Thanks for the help with overflow - though I noticed there is no option for templates under settings. I'll poke around for that.

[EDIT] - it's under administration/advanced_settings.php

I do use firebug - and it is helpful. I have put in a few templates now - i just make a copy of uni and rename it and then modify from there.

Template palette anyone?
