Cron Job Settings New Install

Cron Job Settings New Install

I noticed when I installed the trail version I left the cron settings alone

so the script ran it every minute so I deleted the cron job in cpanel.

I am about to install a fresh site what should the cron settings be ?

It is suppose to run every minute. The cron handles processing of background running tasks such as video conversion and such. Also nightly events as well.

The proper cron command to use will be shown to you doing the install process of dolphin. It is different for every install becuse it depends on the path to dolphin and the location of the php interrupter so we cannot really give you a precise cron command to use.

If you were getting emails from cron every minute than something was not working properly. Cron is not suppose to send you a email unless a error is occurring.

yes, I was getting emails every time it ran that is why I deleted it,

I have my cpanel set up that way to receive emails I will make sure

not to check the receive emails box when cron runs..

thanks for the reply...

An email every minute means there's something wrong - please post one of the emails here so we can take a closer look.  Just disabling email notifications won't fix the problem.
