Creating membership level to NOT see Adsense

Hi. I'm not fully on top of understanding membership levels (yet). However, I have included Google Adsense ads on various pages using HTML Blocks and pasting Google's HTML into there. All HTML blocks have "Guest" and "Member" ticked, so everyone sees the Adsense ads.

What I'd like to explore is an option for someone to pay $x per month and have the Adsense ads removed from the site (just for them as subscribers), otherwise they see the Adsense ads.

Can this be done? and if so, how?

Thank you.

The built in module in dolphin called Page Access Control should work for membership levels.

I also have my Enhanced Page Block Visibility mod which takes block control even further by providing restriction on blocks by age, gender, couples as well as membership levels. It's not been tested with 7.2 yet. Not sure what version of dolphin your running.

But if restricting by membership level is all you need then the Page Access Control module will do the trick.

Hi Deano,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using 7.2.1, approaching the fourth week of using Dolphin.

All I'm after is to not show the Adsense blocks on any part of the site if people don't wish to see them and are willing to pay $x per month.

Will the Page Access Control module do this? if not, would your module do this? (if you get it to 7.2.1 supported).

I personally prefer not to see ads on websites, but run some other websites and the ads do generate revenue from visitors clicking them, which ends up helping the site pay expenses.

I'll take a look at the Page Access Control module and see if it would perform what I'd like. Thank you again.

The page access control module would restrict display of the blocks by membership level. So yes, if your paying members that are not to see the ads are in a specific membership type all you would have to do is not show those blocks to that membership level.

Thanks Deano. I tested this and it does work as expected. Much appreciated for your advice.
