Hello Dolphiners!
I have enabled 'Create new privacy group' in privacy settings, but I don't see any effect in my website. I see other privacy groups being enabled, such as "Faves", but I cannot create my own privacy group.
Can anybody tell me how I can access this useful feature. Thanks much!

You'll see it in the Dashboard > Privacy Settings. From that point, you can add new individuals to the security bunches you've made. It's valuable to make custom gatherings, for example, 'Family", 'Associates', and so on. At that point, when you transfer or make a new substance, you may allot seeing consents to ONLY those gatherings. It's a very helpful element, yet not until the point that you really add other individuals to the custom gatherings. |
Thanks for your response. I still cannot enable this feature in my localhost.
I go to Dashboard->Privacy Settings, and what I see on that page is something like this (also see attachment):

I understand your frustration. Dolphin is a massive script yet there is little or no documentation. Despite this, the developers are asking top dollar. I firmly believe they owe it to their paid customers to supply a comprehensive manual, then they could sell it to users of the free version.
Because I also had no idea about the settings and whether they were value to me, which they're NOT, I've written this tutorial. It's not complete and it was done very quickly as I was learning. If you wish me to add or change anything, please ask.

Go to the member Account page and you will see a Menu Link called "Privacy Groups" .... http://www.yourdomain.com/member_privacy.php Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
I think this was a bit of confusion about privacy groups; users versus built in. The create privacy groups settings is for the members to create new privacy groups. If you want to create a new built in privacy group for the site, then that is done through coding, or I think there might be some modules in the market. Modzzz, don't you have a module for admins to add privacy groups site wide? Geeks, making the world a better place |
