Is there a way to show when a couple 'C' profile as opposed to 'M' or 'F' is in Ray Chat? This is the only major thing holding my site back.

Well, to be honest with you, I am not even sure why there is an option for couples period. Its not like each have their own separate logins, emails, online staus', etc. So it's not like you know "which" one of the couples are online. Technically, the only thing they do have is the option to display 2 photos and have 2 general information descriptions. Other than that, I do not see a since in it. :) Just my opinion. Nothing to see here |
Regardless, I still need to make this happen. In my 6.15 install, I have added 'couple' as a gender and turned off couples. It seems like a fairly simple adjustment to add 'couple' as a gender in Ray Chat to display a 'C' next to the user name. Like I said, this minor tweak is holding back the launch of my site. As it is now, all couples show up as male and most people are not open to chatting with a room full of 'males' on a dating site. I have been in beta since March and this is my number one bug fix request from the 100 or so beta users. Isnt v7 open source? I will try like hell to figure out how to do this with the flash source. -tom |
Tried using an associative array, however chat would open but the user would not be listed in any available room. -tom |

Still looking for a solution. I thought I read that D& and RAY would be open source with the 7 release. Anyone have the ray chat source? |

On other successful dating sites, the couple gender is designated. I know most couples looking for other couples do not want to chat with a single male. If every user in the chat room reads (M) next to their name, no one would be talking. Seriously, how hard can this really be to edit...this is terribly frustrating and pretty much holing up the launch of my site. If Userplane wasn't so bloody expensive, I would be using it and dumping ray chat. |
