As Technoman posted in the blogs regarding Magic Quotes - it is on its way out.
This is going to be a big problem since the requirements for 6.15 and up include Magic Quotes
The following is on php.net regarding Magic Quotes
this feature has been DEPRECATED as of PHP 5.3.0 and REMOVED as of PHP 6.0.0.
Relying on this feature is highly discouraged.
I haven't seen anything about this in Trac so I want to make very sure it is being addressed.
