On the bottom of my pages, it reads ..

Copyright © 2011 Your Company

Where can i change this at? I have looked all over the admin (i think) and i dont see no FOOTER.PHP page to change.

Administration > Settings > Languages Settings

Search for and edit the ' _copyright' language key.

 a tool was invented some time ago, i believe the name was hung on it as 'search'

 yes i second the notiion of using deanos tools excellent mod and excellent developer. you cant go wrong when using any mods from deano. 

I was able to add the name of my site to the copytight but now it won't delete "Dolphin hosting" and the name of the template. How do I get rid of that?

That has nothing to do with this topic which is Copyright. As you were able to successfully change that, so your current question has nothing to do with it. So should not have been asked in this topic.

We will need to see a screenshot.

No where in the default templates included with dolphin are the words Dolphin Hosting. So i have a feeling your running a 3'rd party free template provided by your hosting provider.

But because i am not sure, provide screenshots showing exactly what your trying to get rid of.

In the future, if your asking a question that is not related to the topics title, and you can't find a topic that is, then start your own in the 7.1 forum. Asking unrelated questions skews search results when people search for things.
