Copying Folder to Root

Does anyone have simple instructions on how to copy a folder and all its contents from my desktop to the root folder. I've downloaded a free mod and tried to upload all of its contents to the module folder of my root directory but was unsuccessful. I was only able to upload the .php files.

Suggestions or links to previous post are much welcomed.

Thanks,

OMB

Most all FTP clients are able to do this. FTP clients are typically split into two windows. Your local computer on the left side and the remote on the right side.

Navagate to your desktop on the left side and to the root of your dolphin site on the right side. Then select the folder on the left and normally there is a arrow you can click to upload it. Or in many cases you can drag it.

But your also not clear on what your wanted to do ether. Your title says copy to root, the body of the message says to copy into the modules folder. They are not the same thing.

Hi Deano,

Thank you. I just so happens it was your mod for adding admins I was trying to install. I'm just having trouble upload the whole folder and its contents the the Boonex folder marked module.

Sorry for the confusion.

You don't put it inside the boonex folder.

This image might help. It's not for deanos tools, but all of my modules are uploaded pretty much exactly the same way.

If you still have problems, get a better ftp client.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
