Content Modules SHOULD add to the spy and outline

I have brought content modules in the market that added to the outline but not the spy, and some that don't add to either one.  All content modules should add to both the spy notifications and the outline.  Those two are very important when it comes to interactions.  I have a content module; by content module I mean a module that adds some form of content, text, photos, etc., that does not add to the spy or outline and that content gets almost no response from members.  From now on, I am making that a requirement of any content module before I pay out my money.  What good is it to have added content if it stays burred on the site and no one comments on it?  Notices, it is all about notices.

I fully agree with this geek_girl

The outline is what I see as one of the core features of the sites now and should indeed show all content ! ELSE, it's not exactly an outline of whats been happening / added at site..

Modules should be updated to work with what I see as the first 'eye grabbing' feature people see when visiting a site ... or there should be clear instructions how to implement this ourselves ..

This ^^^ should also be the case with spy / notifications

Have you tried asking the developer to add support for the Spy module?

Have you tried asking the developer to add support for the Spy module?

Yes, and the developer quoted me a reasonable price; or said it would be added to the next release.  However, the module also does not add it to the Outline which is needed as well.  I am also thinking of learning how both spy and outline works so I can add it myself to any module I have that does not without having to go back to the developer and either spend more money or wait.

The intent of this post is to ask developers to take the extra step and make sure any content module adds to the spy and outline as these two are very important for interactions on our sites.  We are learning from our members; as I said once, you don't know unless you are running a real social network and Boonex is not doing this.  Therefore, it is important for Boonex and the Developers to listen to those of us that are running social networks, we see how the sites are used by real members and we are constantly monitoring things.  In this case, I see that content that is not in the spy and outline does not receive interactions from the members because they miss the content.

all content modules should be reflected in outline for sure! geek_girl you are so right about Boonex not seeing things the way we see things! I know the time I put into my site and all the efforts involved with every aspect of running a social network  ..  Boonex may provide the code BUT it's us webmasters that truly see it all working and not working and how it effects real members and audience ...
