Confirmation goes to spam folder?

How can I prevent the confirmation e-mails from going into the spam folder?  I read that someone posted that I can change the name of the site, but that doesn't seem to make sense.  The name of the site needs to stay as it is.  Is there a way to just change the name of the site for the e-mails?

i have the same problem with my emails going to spam - especially with gmail and me.com email addresses. I was told by deanos, that it was because the email address was not the same as the domain name. ie - the email address for sending emailswaslisted as myname@gmail.com and he told me it was going to spam because the domain name is blahblah.com - so the email should be myname@mydomain.com

Unfortunately, after changing this, I still have a problem with emails going to spam folder. But - the end actually is based on how your email provider determines what is and isnt spam, and it does its own thing in that regards.

Spam filters don't have a built in way for you to say..

"Hey, this message is not spam. Just send it to the inbox"

If filters could be told to do that, then there would be no point to filtering at all.

One of the common problems that you need to check first is does the email addresses your site is using match the domain name of your site? A common mistake is people set their site up under thisdomain.com but have dolphin configured to use gmail.com addresses or other addresses that do not match the domain of the site itself.

If your matched there, then there is the possibility that several people have already marked incoming messages from your site as spam. Once a spam filtering system like gmail has been told a message is spam several times it will learn and treat all similar messages as spam as well and there is not much that can be done to change it. You could try a complete rewrite of the message that is sent out so it's wording is completely different from what was used before.
