Confirmation Email not sent

Hi all,

I'm like very much 7.1 and works almost without any issue but I'm facing a major problem on my site. For an unknown reason, confirmation mails are not sent (neither bug reporting mails). It worked with 7.09 but not anymore after a clean install. It returns a _EMAIL_CONF_NOT_SENT error. If I manually activate a member, then internal message system is working fine..

Though I've tried to find out where is the problem, no solution yet :(

Try to install SMTP Mailer module and setup it properly. 

If it was working with the same module in 7.0.9 - copy all the settings from this module to your 7.1 installation.

Works great with SMTP module. Though I wanted to avoid it, it gives me the results I need.
