Anyone have any suggestions / input for the classifieds portion of dolphin. Im trying to implement a Ebay/Craigslist area where users and post , bid, buy and sell golf stuff
Reading through some Classified tutorials, it says that Classifieds can be an auction form , but through my test users I created ...I dont see anywhere on the listings to place a bid... all I see is a "Buy it Now" button. Can the Classifieds really be an auction type process like ebay, how does the user know if he/she has been outbid or what the current bid is ect. ?
Also, so the users choses the "Buy it Now" option and all that does is send an email to the seller and then it is up to them to arrange the payment details.
So, how can I involve one of the payment methods that are present in the Admin (ie PayPal) so that the buyer pays once he/she decides to "Buy It Now"
However,I see how this could raise some liability issues as to how is the buyer guaranteed to receive his/her product from the seller (the seller could receive/demand payment and then never ship the product), being a new site I don't have the staff / resources to track down illegitimate sellers like something that EBay does, so Im not sure how this works out...I don't want a buyer and seller every time have to arrange to physically meet to exchange payment for good... but how else can this be done?
