Chatroom Creation - New Replaces Existing

I found a Trac with this same problem but I apparently do not know how it works. I didn't see a solution.

Each time I create a chat room, it replaces the one previously created. I have it set in "settings" to have at least 15. Any idea how to solve this? I was able to find out how to remove sex and age from chatroom so the research hasn't been in vain.

Appreciate the help. Thanks!

Hi Unitarians,

digitaldirectory and I would be grateful for a resolution to this problem. Is it posted in the proper place? If not, where should we go, please? Thank you abundantly!

Hi, I have had the same sort of problems - the problem I now have is that I need more than 50 rooms lol.

Anyway - the whay I fixed the problem was to open up putty change to the folder where my RMS is installed and then just do this "./run_deamon.sh" I don't know if this is the correct soloution but it seems to work for me.

Hope it helps :)

Sorry my typos are bad today lol - it should have been "./run_daemon.sh!

AngelusUK,

Typos and all, no worries, thanks for replying! LOL

But, I do not understand the instructions. Must be the English you guys speak across the pond. Tongue out LOL What do you mean by "putty change?" I'm in America, ok?

Thanks again very much! Cheers!

Hi Jhazz,

Sorry about that - I don't think I was even speaking english yesterday lol.

If you have access to your server via ssh (I use putty), change the path to the path where your RMS is located, then type in "run_daemon.sh" and it should restart your chat, all of your chat rooms should then appear which you have already created. You may have to do it twice but it usually works first time for me.

I also find it easier to add the chat room names via phpMyAdmin and then run the command via ssh (putty)

hope that helps hun

Cheers
