Change BxDolSocialSharing.php

Hello. I'm screwing around in 7.1 and I would like to make a small mod. I found the file (I think) but do not know how to make the changes where they will work.

I would like to make the necessary changes to replace what Dolphin provides and replace them with the Addthis code to enable a more robust connection to the different social engines.

I think the changes need to occur in this file.

public_html/inc/classes/BxDolSocialSharing.php

It seems easy enough but I am sure I'd spend weeks working it out. One of you smarty pants could do it in 10 minutes. (lol)

PS, I am most interested in replacing what is found onder the 'recommend' title block on the ad display page.

ever heard of creating a block and putting addthis code in it on ads view page?
 

LOL. I could do that, I was just hoping to do it this way and make it a default setup throughout my site....

Ok, accomplished my task.

Went to sys_objects_social_sharing and deleted id 1, 2, and 3. and then changed id 4 (what the hell is pintl anyway?) to replace that code with the AddThis code. this is the result.

Now I don't have an extra block I will never use and it becomes the default everywhere it's used in the site.

I'm really liking what I'm finding with 7.1.... Am anxious to make the switch and take it live for my sites. Do we have a date yet?

I was just playing with the banner ad mod. Found it to be lacking a few features but seems to be working well. My new sites will be making use of that as well as I finally start charging for advertisers to have access to my traffic. Once I reach that point, I will finally be purchasing my prime license.
