Cant not compile

I have been out of the loop for a few months and I am seem to be having a problem with something very basic

I can seem to compile the languages.

In the drop down screen in the language setings there is nothing to pick.

What am I missing

Since when do you pick anything from a drop down to compile languages? 

Hope this refreshes your memory.  **Hint, just hit the word "compile" in between "edit" & "delete"

So here is a screen shot of the language settings from my end, It seems I am missing some language files..But I am only guessing here.

You didn't say you we're on 7 FT... This is the 6.1 section... LOL.  No wonder they look so different.

You are missing some language files, it's about 259KB and your system should of written it when you installed the site...

Is this a D7 Beta 8 or?

Any rate, it doesn't matter.

Do you see the 1st "pink" section in your image you put up?  There is a "select all" checkbox.  Click on it to add a checkmark to it and then click the _adm_text_langs_compile button that is right next to "select all" and see if it will compile your language.

I just checked my D7 Install and I have langs/lang-en.php with 259KB and all is working well, but it was written by Apache Module during install, it's not an upload type file, so this means something boo booed on your install.

Also, make sure, as always, that the langs/ directory has Triple 7 as the perms on it.  Might be a good time to double check all your perms.

Ok so: perms for langs is 777, now and I tried to compile as per your instructions and had no luck..

I am going to try to reinstall again and report back. During my first install I had to use the d6 lang-eng.php to get past the error "can not apply localizations"

So something must have happened during the install. I will make sure this time that langs folder 777 during the install process.

I will update this post once again when I am done..

So I just re installed and everything went smooth as silk...

Thanks to mydatery who was correct once again..Just a booboo during the install.

 Now, once you have all the modules in, before you start changing stuff, make sure you visit the latest Boonex blog and grab the update for D7 B8 so it will not hit you with a "Possible Hack Attack" as it will if you don't.
