looks like the header.inc.php file is missing
btw.. your site loads fine
|
Did you recently move your site, i.e. from one hosting server to another? http://pkforum.dolphinhelp.com |
Site seems to be loading fine.

Hm? Perhaps I am not seeing what you see? All I see is the error message. The site never actually comes up on my end.
My main website (cornerstonefaith.com) is fine but the community site (cornerstonefaith.com/community) does not come up at all, only the error message.
Could you tell me how to fix or add whatever is missing? If there is a file missing where can I find this file or create it and in which folder should I put it in for the site to work again?
"No, I have not changed anything about the site. I haven't changed servers or anything? I'm not sure what happened. I only just noticed the problem today.
Thanks :)

Sorry. But i tried both. cornerstonefaith.com/community and cornerstonefaith.com both load for me with no errors.
Clear your browsers cache and cookies or test with a different browser.

so much to do.... |
Hi,
Wondering how this is going, i visited the community site (cornerstonefaith.com/community) and get the error:
Warning: require_once(/var/chroot/home/content/e/r/i/ericacouture/html/community/ray/modules/global/inc/header.inc.php)
etc..
i've also done something to my install and have a broken forum, looking for answers :)
good luck with yours, and thanks Boonex for all your time and help!

Thank you all for your help. Seems you the error message is gone. I did just need to clear my cache after all. I'm not sure what caused the problem in the first place but as long as it is fixed I guess it's ok.
Thank you again for all your help :)
|
Hm? Looks like I am having the same issue again with my site. Can anyone tell me what the error means and how do I fix it permanently?
Thanks :)
|
If you clear the cache does it go away... temporarily?
I just looked... loads fine for me in the latest version of Chrome.

Yes, I did clear and it was fine. So I thought it was fixed but I went back on the next day and it was goofed again. Do you know what the error means? |
In my limited experience... it means your site has been hacked. Search the forum looking for advice on dealing with getting hacked... including checking to make sure your file permissions are correct, especially the /inc folder... which installs with permission "777" but should have been reset to "755". I'm not a security expert... but there are a few very knowledgeable people that frequent this forum.
In the meantime, turn off caching options in Admin > Settings > Advanced Settings... Template section... then flush your cache again. Turn off JS/CSS compression too... same section.
When I got hacked... their code was in the first line of the a few files... if the same thing happened to you then you'll need to look for their code in your files. Most likely in "header" files on the first line. But, again, I'm not an expert... just someone that had to deal with it recently.
Basically one or more bits of the hacker code eventually gets cached and then wreaks your site... by flushing the cache it disappears... so it seems random.
Of course this is just my theory... it could be that someone has gained access info to your site's FTP and is causing problems for you. So considering changing your private access info ASAP.

Thank you for all your help!!!
I did change the passwords. But I am not seeing where to look for the bad code? I looked in my files on my server but didn't find what you described. I also looked on my dolphin admin site and once I get to advanced settings I do not see where to edit the template file. I am using an older version of dolphin. I haven't done any updates actually since I had someone do the site for me and they are no longer around. And is the bad code the code what I see when I try to get on my site? Do I simple look for that message and delete it?
Thank you again for your help.

We're still speculating that you've been hacked. What I did was search all files looking for the "error" code that is (has been) showing up. I found it, backed up the files with it, and deleted that code. Then deleted all the cache files and began using the site again... fixed. I also went through the entire site and checked all the folder permissions. There are a few media folders that need to have open access, i.e. "777". You may have to get one of the Security Experts on the BoonEx Forum to provide more help if you feel it appropriate. First person that comes to mind is mscott. http://pkforum.dolphinhelp.com |
Erica,
I've visited your site several times since you started this thread, it has always loaded fine. Since you are the only one who has had problems accessing the site I have to agree with Deano that your browser is caching old information. DId you try his suggestion about using a different browser to test the problem? For instance if you normally have the problem in IE then the next time you get the error try loading the site in Firefox and see if it works. If it works in a different browser then the problem is deffinitely on your end. From everything you've said and after browsing around your site I think it's safe to say you weren't hacked.
