Can't get Deano's tools to install

OK, as per the instructions I used FileZilla and uploaded the files to the root directory of my site. Then went to the Tools -> Modules in the Dolphin administrator. The mod did not show up. So I placed the deano directory directly in the modules->boonex directory and the mod finally showed up in the dolphin administrator. So I click on it and select install and continuously get this error message.

Cannot install module from "deano/deanos_tools/" directory Failed

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thats where the mistake was made. The deano folder does not belong in the boonex folder.

The instructions state to upload the modules from the archive to the root of your site. That would be public_html for most people.

That modules folder would then merge with the existing one and everything would fall right into proper place.

I have a feeling you opened the modules folder in the archive and tryed to upload those to the root of your site.

Anyhow. What you should have after done.  In the modules folder on your server your should see modules/deano/deanos_tools/.....

So. The instructions were not precisely followed.  You need to reverse everything you did and try again.

Also, just in case your interested.  There are two tutorials created by other people who follow their own way of doing it. Not precisely my exact instructions, but still gets it to the proper place. Perhaps you will find one of those easier to understand.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
