Can't connect to RMS

Trying to enable RMS gives error "Can't connect to RMS". Chat works only if RMS is kept disabled. Video recording does not work at all, even as RMS is kept disabled.

We have SmartPro License (paid, never expires) and dedicated server.

RMS is installed on our server and it had been working fine till last week.

Only 2 changes had happened:
1. Server root password had been changed.
2. Very small increase in traffic. We have just over 500 members, so traffic wise I am sure it was not too much spike.

Can anyone guide on what might be the problem? License or server, what may be the issue?

A related issue: Last Wednusday, suddenly boonex footers started displaying on our pages. It was for a small time.

Not sure why all these issues are occurring even though we have SmartPro License.

for your RMS not working and you have a dedicated box, and RMS was working. can you check your running processes and see if you see RMS in there running? if you do not, you will need to restart it. if you need further help with this, just give me a shout.

If you have installed it on your own server you do not want to connect to rms.boonex.com you want to connect to your own server. If your ports are open and you have started your rms server try using your ip in place of rms.boonex.com

If you are referring to using the free rms server on your shared hosting, many issues with this one. Usually you have to use all free version ray widgets. The thing goes down often. You can play around with it all day and it don't work.

Install on your own vps or dedicated. Go with a 3rd party. That's about all I know that will work and consistently work.
