Can no longer delete members from admin

Bug arrived with 7.0.3.  Can anyone confirm this?  Other actions seem OK.

I just checked. I was able to delete without any problem.

I also delete without any problem

Must be unique to my site.   I'll have to ask Dawg if something with the Mysql server has changed.  It may be a coincidence, but I deleted a Wordpress installation that I thought was trashed out, because I couldn't log in.

HL

Looking in the crystal ball it tells me that you should wait until to the next upgrade for more things to break. Keep cool. Wink

I had the same issue as well HL. Mine was due to a couple issues I believe. Everytime I tried to delete a member, I receive an database error email regarding a module I had installed. I uninstalled that module and removed the following cache options in Advanced Settings > Other

- Enable DB Cache

- Enable page block cache

P.S. - I understand that you are frustrated. Alot of us are. This has to have been my worst upgrade experience yet. Im sure it has something to do with the fact that my site is heavily modded. I am asking that you please refrain from using such vulgar language in the forums though.

Zarcon,

I don't think it has something to do with heavy modded sites. I had my site runnning for months and without extra modules and gradually scripts are breaking quietly without any chance to have a quick repair.

MySql can be a bitch if you don't have restore scripts in place.

Are you going to tell me which module was giving you problems?  I can't take the suspense much longer.

I doubt if I'll stop using the vulgar language.  Sometimes there is no other way to express my sentiments about some of these ridiculous nagging issues.  I am not frustrated.  I've been trying to get a site to work properly for two years now.  I am way beyond frustrated. Suspend me for vulgar language if you want, because I just don't care anymore.

Here's how this issue will probably pan out:  I'll enter a ticket in trac.  After 2-3 months pass, someone will look at the ticket.  They will make a notation on the ticket that reads something like this: "unable to reproduce problem"... then mark the ticket as invalid without ever contacting me about it.

@ HL, Mine was Facebook integration Module. Not sure if you have one on your site or not.. It kept trying to remove a files from the database that wasnt there.everytime I tried to delete a member.

@ elcentcom - I can only say for my site, since I know I have over 25+ 3rd party modules and customizations installed on it.I learned my lesson a long time ago on having backups. My site is on a daily backup system so I have no worries there.

Almost every problem I ran into was due to the caching option enabled. Now after the upgrade, If I try to re-enable the caching, it gives me errors/problems still. Here were just a few of the errors that went away after disabling the caching:

- Profile error messages

- Bottom member bar disappeared

- Forum language would not compile

- Lost the arrows next to Advanced Settings in the Admin Panel

- Admin Panel > Builders > Page Builders would not load nothing on any page I chose

- Could not delete members

Again, this was regarding my site only.. However this may help others as well..Make sure that you clear your cache after disabling the cache options in Admin Panel> Advanced Settings > Other  and Admin Panel> Advanced Settings > Template

maybe it's related to  module wordpress

I had somewhat the same problem with phpbb module - and - D6

I uninstall phpbb - and I could not delete of member

In admin under "tools" and then "modules" the phpbb module was still installed - D6 - I deleted and everything works

all this to tell you - it can also be bound - a member Supprimer D7 and also removes the member in wordpress

(or another module that deletes members (D7 and module))

Like I said, I get no errors or warnings when I try to delete a member.... I select a member, click the delete button, and absolutely nothing happens.  At least if some errors or warnings were kicked out, I'd have something to go on.

Have you tried the disabling of your cache yet? If it is a cache related issue, you will not receive any types of errors.

I can't disable the cache, because I've never had it enabled.

I did disable the Facebook Ultimate Module which I installed immediately after I upgraded to 7.0.3, and the problem went away.  I've contacted the mod dev, and reported the problem.   This is so typical.  Every single time I add something to try to improve one area of the site, some other area breaks.

If you're having the exact same problem as these two, then it's due to the Facebook Ultimate Module. If not, well, who knows.
