CHANGING THE TEXT IN THE ABOUT US, FAQ'S, ETC.

I need to change the text in the "about us " "privacy"  sections of the dolphin application. I see no features in changing it in the control panel. So do I need to modify this info in the database and if so, what is the name of the table?

Instead of doing all this download this free mod from paul and easily do it from admin section how many times you want.

It just doesnt work for me. I installed the module but its not coming up in the admin cpanel.

I am trying to edit the faqs page and when there are <Div> tags in the String text for English language box I can not update it. I click save and nothing happens. But when I type something without and <Div> tags it saves just fine. This happens on All Help and About pages in my install of 7.0.3

Any help is appreciated and I would rather use the language keys than a module. Thanks :-)

Please help with this anyone. This is driving me nuts being that there is no way to edit lang-en.php directly via FTP.

I must be missing something with permissions but I even chmod lang-en.php and folder to 777 temporarily and still nothing via admin _FAQ_INFO.

 Thank you Newton for your help. However, whenever I have Div Tags in the code within the String text for English language box nothing happens when I click save and I and forced to click on the red X to close the small language key window. At that point I have not been able to save what I changed. I am scratching my head on this one....

@htech, this is strange. The above file has worked on all the sites I have installed..

Just log into your Dolphin admin and go to settings>Language and type in about us or privacy and click search then change whatever you need to change.

Hello guys,

            Im having a problem with this. The system doesn't give me any options to search strings.

It only allows to save. Then it says "saved successfully" and then it goes away. Defeats the purpose. Is there another way to edit "faq" "about us" and "privacy" pages text content?

But it gave me 404 error message. I couldnt even download the mod.

If you tried /administration -->Settings --> Languages Settings --> [FILTER:]      _FAQ_INFO   (<-- Search strings)

Change the text to whatever you want and save, that should change the display text. (also try clearing cache and cache_public (leaving any .htaccess files))

There are other faq, about us, etc.. modules in the market, search the market if needed. For example here are a few;

Check compatibility and module info to see if they fit your needs.

I removed that product a while back, because the developer was no longer supporting it and the download said to contact the developer.  No reason to keep it around after all that, and I doubt it works now.  Use the products posted above or the tools in Dolphin.
