Bulkupload ?

Hello at all,
i have a simple question. Is there any possibility to Bulk-Upload videos and other media via ftp, and then implement them via the administration interface ? If not, is there a plugin which works on D7.1 and can do this. Uploading some of my media via the frontend is impossible in my case because i have a managed server and the videos are to large to upload them via the flash- or script-uploader.

no... reason, videos and audio are processed via ffmpeg and encoded into several different files.

Like videos, there are actually  four files made for each one..

Of cause there is a reason. If my Server accepts scriptuploads up to 300 MB and the file of the Video is about 500 MB. In this case there is no possibility to upload the file. I want a plugin, or another option which i can use to implement the videos from a directory on the server. Simple because there are videos that are to big to upload via the script. Additional a plugin like that would have the benefit, that i could transfer a bigger amout of files to the directory. To upload 50 files via bulks of 5 is ok, but 600...

Why do the developers of such great scripts like dolphin never think about those things which are important for the webmasters.  If you start a community from scratch, there must be much content before the first user joins. A funktion like Bulkupload is a must to each script which handle video-files in an bigger amount. I can´t start a community with 25 Videos.

Now if you adjust your php.ini settings you can upload big files.

One server I have, the file size is set to 1GB and I upload 700MB movies with no problems.

The key is setting your servers timeout for uploads.. that's all here in these forums 

I have a managed server, and i can adjust these settings between 8 and 400 MB. If i say that this is not possible, it is not possible. But ok, may be i could bring up the settings to the needed value, it would be nice to get this possibility because i could upload a bulk of 250 Videos over night and the next day and at the evening i could implement them to the site and next day they will be rendered by ffmpeg. If i want to upload the same ammount of videos via the frontend, i will be sitting there until the computer begins glowing.

Please understand, that i only want one thing. A directory on my server, where i can upload my videos, afterthis i want to go to the Backend, go to the Plugin section and see, there a 250 Videos, and than maybe make some discriptions, names and all these videos-settings. Then press start, and the rest will be done by the server. Thats all. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you spend time doing 25 a day soon you will have what you want.  It is astonishing how quick it ads up but I have never seen a bulk uploaded.  I have had issues depending on where the upload takes place on doing more than 5 at a time... If yourrs are very large you are in for quite a bit of time. Good luck hope someone makes what you want as your comments make sense... 

Another Question, its a little off topic, but is it possible to present sitemembers another template than guests ? For example lets take 2 identica templats in different colors. If you visit the site, it shows the red template, and if you are loged in, you see the green one ?
