Bug on polls voting

poll votings didnt get tracked, my members can vote on a poll multiple times.

anyone have this problem too? is this a module design issues or a bug?

I checked it in my demo Dolphin and as I see a user may vote any number of times but only the first vote is calculated. The others just display voting results.

yeah you are right ...

wouldnt it be nice to just display the results page for members who have voted already?

also the "vote left on poll" event is fired and this is not good if you use a points mod or something like this.

I think you are right. Right now it's confusing and member may think that he can vote again and again but he cannot. But it's the question of module improvement which may be done in new version.

I didn't check the alert. But I think it shouldn't be fired because the repeated votes are not accepted. 

hhhm, i think the voting feature is bugged on all modules ... the alert is fired for repeated votings

Can't reproduce the issue, I don't see alert for repeated voting.

yes you can vote multiple times on a poll, tried it as guest every 24 hours and the vote is counted. Haven't tried as member

fixed - r16855, cookie was set to the current browser session only, changed it to a month

why not tracking the votes per memberid?

We are trying to avoid structural changes in 7.1

 I see nothing wrong with multiple voting, look at American Idol..

But, I can see to where we would only want one vote per membership in some cases.
